Buried to Bloom: The Show Must Go On

Title: Buried to Bloom: The Show Must Go On

Pericope: Acts 9:39-43 NIV

Text: Acts 9:41

Vs. 41 He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them, alive.

This story typically centers Peter who, as Pastor T preached last week, was restored by Jesus and our text shows us clear evidence that Peter’s life is bearing fruit.

Though Peter has a major role to play in this text, today we will center 2 characters who share a special relationship with one another. Indeed the revelation of these two women’s stories are complimentary.

  1. Dorcas - vs. 41 He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Your _______________________.
  2. Good works do not exempt you from hardship.
  3. The show must ____________________.
  4. Though Tabitha has experienced literal ____________, but her life had to continue to bear fruit.

  1. The Widows - …then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them, alive - Though your life has been marked and defined by trauma, God is still ______________________________.
  2. The profundity of the widow’s experience in this story can be described in 2 phrases. Prolonged _____________ and __________________
  3. You may not be a widow, but how many of you have ever experienced ____________________________?
  4. Though they have experienced double death, God is STILL _____________________. And God is still ____________________.

Life Application:

Ask God to show you where He is still showing up.
