WHO'S YOUR PROVIDER?

SERMON TITLE: WHO’S YOUR PROVIDER
SERMON TEXT: MATTHEW 4:1-5
READ SCRIPTURE:
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written,
c“Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
3 POINTS OF REFLECTION:
1. KNOW YOUR SOURCE BEFORE YOU FACE YOUR NEED.
2. DON'T LET YOUR NEED MAKE YOU FORGET WHO YOU ARE.
3. DON'T TAKE GOD'S PLACE TRYING TO MEET YOUR NEEDS.
APPLICATION:
Take 15 minutes this week and identify one area of your life where you've been carrying the pressure as though everything depends on you. Write it down!
1. Name the need. Be honest about what is weighing on you. Don't pretend it isn't there.
2. Identify what is within your responsibility. Take the wise, faithful step you can take.
3. Release what is beyond your control. Pray about it, stop trying to force the outcome, and trust God with what you cannot produce.
