Dr. Beth Schackelford is the Superintendent for O'Fallon Township High School District 203. She is a native of Belleville, Illinois, and moved to O'Fallon in 2001 when she began teaching at OTHS. Over the past 24 years, Beth has served OTHS as a band director, choir director, music department chair, activities director, assistant principal, Director of Business and Operations, and Director of Academics and Special Projects. She has also served as an adjunct professor at McKendree University, head clinician for the Smith Walbridge Student Leadership Clinic, and was recently selected to participate in the Illinois Association of School Administrators Level Up Leadership Cohort. Beth's most noteworthy leadership role, however, is serving as Troop leader for her daughter's Girl Scout Troop. The loves of her life are her husband Tom, son Elliott, and daughter Brooklynn. Beth's primary professional focus is creating and sustaining a positive school culture, as she firmly believes that education is only possible through creating meaningful connections. 

Dr. James Carter Harden III is a Life Changer! James is on a mission to use the power of education and innovation to increase life opportunities for children to build awareness of the mistreatment of black males in professional spaces. James has accomplished this mission as a teacher, a principal, a professor, an academic director and as a consultant. James’ commitment and passion for education has yielded him national, regional and statewide notoriety. James has authored three books:

• “Empowered!”: What will you do for your child’s success?

James holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, a Master’s degree in Education Leadership, a PhD in Education and Organizational Leadership from the University Of Illinois. 

James is the happy husband of Lashonna Nicole Harden and the hardworking father of Shaun Carter & Nina Olivia Harden. More important than any accolades and recognitions, James is happy to serve others. James’ motto is “I was built for this!”
