Pericope: Psalm 131:1-3 1 My heart is not proud, LORD, my eyes

are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or

things too wonderful for me. 2 But I have calmed and quieted

myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned

child I am content. 3 Israel, put your hope in the LORD both now and

forevermore.

Sermon Text: Psalm 131:2 . 2 But I have calmed and quieted

myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned

child I am content.

great matters or things too wonderful for me

Psalm 8:3-5 NIV - 3 When I consider your heavens,

the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars,

which you have set in place,

4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,

human beings that you care for them?

and crowned them with glory and honor.
