Memory Verse – John 14:6 - 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way,

and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except

through me

Pericope: John 14:1-7 ESV - “Let not your hearts be

troubled. Believe in God; [a] believe also in me. 2 In my Father's

house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you

that I go to prepare a place for you? [b]  3 And if I go and prepare a

place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself,

that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to

where I am going.” [c]  5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know

where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to

him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to

the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would

have known my Father also. [d] From now on you do know him

and have seen him.”

Sermon Text: John 14:5-6 - 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do

not know where you are going. How can we know the

way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the

life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 

Sermon Title: 2025: The Way Forward

Point 1: Learn the Way Forward vs. 4-5 - 4 And you know the way

to where I am going.” [c]  5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not

know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

a) Loving Jesus word – vs. 15 “If you love me, you will keep my

commandments

     a. Psalm 119:11 - 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart,

          that I might not sin against thee.

      b. PSALM 119:105 - 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,

          and a light unto my path.

b) The prayer for going forward.

c) Consult your spiritual GPS - God positions you for success

vs. 16 -  16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you

another Helper, [f] to be with you forever

Point 2: Latch onto His promises along the Way Forward – vs. 2-

3 I go to prepare a place for you? [b]  3 And if I go and prepare a

place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself,

that where I am you may be also.

verse 12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will

also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he

do, because I am going to the Father.

Point 3: Let not your heart be troubled along the way…vs. 1 Let

not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; [a] believe also in me

 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the

world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled,

neither let them be afraid

Life Application:

1. Trust Jesus along the 2025 Way

2. Lean on your Helper along the way

3. Lead others along the way
