Pericope:
Mark 8:22-26 - 22 And they came to Bethsaida. And some people brought to him a blind man and begged him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands on him, he asked him, “Do you see anything?” 24 And he looked up and said, “I see people, but they look like trees, walking.” 25 Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26 And he sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even enter the village.”

Sermon Title: I’ve Fallen, and I Got to Get Up Pt 2 – I’m Up Now What
message is in vs. 23 [23] He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” Jesus did four things of note: Took him, Touched him, Talked to him. Told him.
Point 1: Jesus Took Him –
vs. 23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” with. I want you to ask yourself right now where am I going/my goals: financially, spiritually, and emotionally! Now think about who you hang out with. Are they going in the same place you want to go. The late Myles Monroesaid this about blind people seeing who’s with them or not. “I think that the greatest gift God ever gave man is not the gift of sight but the gift of vision. Sight is a function of the eyes, but vision is a function of the heart. Poor people talk about money all the time, rich people talk about things, wealthy people talk about ideas.”
Point 2: Jesus Touched him.
Vs. 23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”
Point 3: Jesus Talked to him.
Vs. 23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”
Point 4: Jesus Told him.
Vs. 26 And he sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even enter the village.”
