I Thessalonians 5:17 says, Pray without ceasing. Pray about EVERYTHING!
Luke 18:1 Jesus told the disciples a parable about the need to always pray and
never lose heart (faint) get tired or weary because there is a chance that you might
want to give up on your faith in God. So let us stay focused and PRAY PRAY
PRAY!
Point 1. What is ________
Colossians 4:2 Devote yourself to prayer being watching and Thankful.
Prayer is a ________request for help, or an expression of thanks addressed to God.
It is an earnest hope or wish. Devote yourself ________to prayer.
Matt 6:5-8 teaches us how to pray and it teaches…
5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the [a]hypocrites. For they love to pray
standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen
by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray,
go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is
in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think
that they will be heard for their many words. 8 “Therefore do not be like them. For
your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
Luke 11:11 Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish will give him a serpent.
Point 2. THE ________OF PRAYER
Psalms 145:18 The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in
Truth.
Psalm 4:3 The Lord has set apart he that is Godly for Himself, The Lord will hear when I call
Him.
Mark 11:24 It is important to know that whatsoever you ask in prayer, believe that you have
received it, and it will be yours.
Matthew 6:33
James 1:5 When in need of wisdom we can ask God and He will provide it to us
generously.
Point 3. The ________of Prayer – Finding God’s ________
John 4:8 says, Whoever does not love does not know God, because GOD is Love.
According to Mathew 5:44 we are to love our enemies and to pray for those who
persecute you, that we may be children of our father in heaven.
1Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all
circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Jesus counseled His disciples, “Watch and pray that you do not enter into
temptation.
Matthew 26:4.
Romans 8:26 Prayer helps us in our weakness. Through moaning and groanings.
Before we approach the Lord in prayer begin to worship Him with ________and
________before we begin asking for anything.
Hebrews 4:16 says Let us then approach God’s throne of Grace with confidence, so
that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
