Yesterday's Price Is Not Today's Price

Sermon Text: 1 Cor. 6:19-20 “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives
in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price.
So you must honor God with your body.”
Matthew 26:7-9 NLT
“While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume and poured
it over his head. The disciples were indignant when they saw this. “What a waste!” they said. “It could
have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.””
Matthew 13:4-8 NLT
“As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them.
Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was
shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.
Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. Still other seeds fell on
fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had
been planted!”

She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself?
Tell her to help me!”
