LOVEOLOGY: If You Know, You Know!

TOPIC: LOVEOLOGY: If You Know, You Know!
TEXT: John 17:20–26 (ESV)
20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because youloved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
POINT 1: LOVEOLOGY: Know the Heart of God
John 4:8-10: 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
POINT 2: LOVEOLOGY: Know God's "LOVE” Language
John 14:15: 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments”.
Matthew 22:35–40: 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
POINT 3: LOVEOLOGY: Know How to LOVE Like God
1 John 5:3: For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
John 13:34–35: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another...
1 John 4:20–21: He that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
POINT 4: LOVEOLOGY: Know How to LIVE Like God
Colossians 3:23: Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
Galatians 1:10: For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Romans 12:2: Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
POINT 5: LOVEOLOGY: If You Know, Tell Somebody!
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Matthew 28:19: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Philemon 1:6: And I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.
Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
