Divine Order: Pt 1 From Finish to Start
Divine Order: Pt 1 From Finish to Start

Pericope: Isaiah 46:5-10 - “With whom will you compare me or
count me equal? To whom will you liken me that we may be
compared? 6 Some pour out gold from their bags and weigh out
silver on the scales; they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god,
and they bow down and worship it. 7 They lift it to their
shoulders and carry it; they set it up in its place, and there it
stands. From that spot it cannot move. Even though someone
cries out to it, it cannot answer; it cannot save them from their
troubles. 8 “Remember this, keep it in mind, take it to heart, you
rebels. 9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none
like me. 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from
ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’
Sermon Title: Divine Order: Pt 1 From Finish to Start
Sermon Text: Isaiah 46:10 I make known the end from the
beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My
purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’
Isaiah 46:3-5 - 3 “Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob,
all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld
since your birth, and have carried since you were born. 4 Even to
your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will
rescue you. 5 “With whom will you compare me or count me
equal? To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?
In other words, there is Divine Order and sincere there is our lives
are not a series of random events.
Isaiah 46:6-7 - 6 Some pour out gold from their bags
and weigh out silver on the scales;
they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god,
and they bow down and worship it.
7 They lift it to their shoulders and carry it;
they set it up in its place, and there it stands.
From that spot it cannot move.
Even though someone cries out to it, it cannot answer;
it cannot save them from their troubles.
Point 1: Your life isn’t random, it has divine order –
Ps. 139:16 - 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be. –
a) Each day you turn a page
b) You are writing in indelible ink
a. – 2 Cor. 3:3 - 3 You show that you are a letter from
Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but
with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone
but on tablets of human hearts.
c) So don’t erase what is written
Point 2: Divine order makes divine connections – 1 Cor 12:12-13 -
12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many
parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all
baptized by[a] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews
or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to
drink.
Point 3: Divine order is a godly investment in you reaching His
goals. Job 23: 13 “But he stands alone, and who can oppose
him? He does whatever he pleases.
Ps. 33: 11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.
Isaiah 14: 24 The Lord Almighty has sworn,
“Surely, as I have planned, so it will be,
and as I have purposed, so it will happen. -
a) Saved
b) Share the gospel.
c) Endure suffering.
d) Successful
